What is the Marist PTFA?

The Marist School PTFA is a group of volunteer parents and whanau, dedicated to enhancing the all-too-short primary school years of our kids.

We are here to create new and memorable community events, organise beloved traditions and raise funds for school projects that enrich our children’s experience at Marist.

Examples of our recent fundraising efforts include: Sausage Sizzles, School Disco, Parent’s Quiz Night and Auction, Second Hand Uniform Sale, Readathon etc

Examples of our community care include: Marist Meals for families, Year 6 Big Day Out, Welcome Packs for new starters, pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, Marist Movies, End of Year School Picnic, Mother’s Day Breakfast etc.

We are on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers to help us to organise even more events and fundraisers this year.

Ways you can help include:
·       Join the PTFA. Meetings are held monthly and dates will be communicated close to the time.
·       Volunteer to help at various events we hold throughout the year
·       Donate a service / product from your business / organisation – we are always on the lookout for products / services to include in our raffles, giveaway hampers, auctions etc.
·       Support our events by buying tickets to support our events and including the whole whanau.
·       Offer your expertise and suggestions on different ways we can fundraise for the skills, help with flyer design, communication, etc.

Involvement with the PTFA can be as much or as little as you choose, however we wholeheartedly encourage each whanau to help with at least one event / activity each year.

Remember, the purpose of all PTFA activities is to enrich your child’s experience at Marist, and without parent and whanau help, our PTFA cannot continue to do this to our full potential.

It is also a lot of FUN and a great way to get to know people and make connections in the school.

We would love you to join us at a meeting to see what it’s all about.
