Marist School Centennial Project

What is it?

It’s an exciting time at Marist School with the opening of our new classroom block scheduled for February 2020. A concept master plan of the completed grounds is being considered by our Board which envisages a sanctuary garden for the children, wonderful open play areas, shaded seating areas and a community garden which will be part of the Garden to Table Programme. It is going to take time and money to make this vision a reality but experience has shown us that with our wonderful Marist community pulling together, we can make this happen.

The Board, together with the PTFA, has set a target of implementing the Master Plan in its entirety in time for Marist’s 100th birthday in 2027.

The ‘Centennial Project’ will deliver this.

The Centennial Project will consist of a series of fundraising initiatives entirely focused on implementing the grounds master plan. The projects will be staged over 2020 to 2026 and each project will identify in advance what the funds raised will be ringfenced for.
